Timeful is one of the finest time management applications for iPhone. The project that became a reality after receiving the high-profile monetary blessing of Vinod Khosla and Kleiner Perkins is now acquired by Google. The search giant plans to integrate it in its Calendar, Inbox, and possibly others to make managing your day a less laborious and more enjoyable task.
The signature feature of Timeful is that it works around your current schedule and pro-actively suggests you do things. It’s not just another calendar app. Instead, upon registration, it asks you what kind of things do you want to do more – from exercise to cooking. Then, it would look for open spots in your current schedule and suggest openings so that you can fit in that gym visit you’ve been postponing an eternity. Quite neatly, you can select just how aggressive Timeful will be in populating your calendar with ambitious goals.
It’s also worth pointing out that Timeful handles personal and work life with equal priority – something that we ourselves often don’t do. The app will, for example, remind you to spend the time with your kids helping them with homework rather than just populate your schedule with work stuff.
“The Timeful team has built an impressive system that helps you organize your life by understanding your schedule, habits and needs. You can tell Timeful you want to exercise three times a week or that you need to call the bank by next Tuesday, and their system will make sure you get it done based on an understanding of both your schedule and your priorities. We’re excited about all the ways Timeful’s technology can be applied across products like Inbox, Calendar and beyond, so we can do more of the work for you and let you focus on being creative, having fun and spending time with the people you care about,” Google commented on the acquisition.
As to the iOS version of Timeful, Google is said to leave the app available on the App Store, but suspend active development on the platform. You can still find the app at the link below.
